Welcome. Vineyard Photographer is the blog offshoot for Maria Thibodeau Photography.

I live and work on Martha’s Vineyard, where I am a high school English teacher in my spare time, a wife, a mother, a second-generation photographer, and an introvert who’s learned to live in the world of extroverts.

My favorite photography subjects are families and children captured in natural light and genuine interaction, though living in New Mexico inspired me to start trying landscape photography, which I have continued to do here on Martha’s Vineyard with my Chasing the Light project.

You can find my journalism work in the Vineyard Gazette on a regular basis and you can see my Martha’s Vineyard photos on display at the Kelley House Gallery.

Please view my galleries to see some of my work, visit my reviews page to read client testimonials, and visit my contact page to schedule a session now. I look forward to working with you.
